what does one do when they can hear the hard drive working/coming through the speakers? also, i get a loud click at the end of some recordings...and using certain options in cooledit (envelope and cut) does'nt remedy this!

Fortunately,I've yet to experience this problem, but here's a thought:have you ever seen those plexiglass sheilds they sometimes put up around the drum kit on TV shows? It is there to isolate the sounds coming from the drums from bleeding onto the vocal and guitar mics.I'm guessing it's your vocal mic that's picking up the HD,so maybe putting a piece of clear plastic around it,between it and the mic might help.Cheers!
