Porta 05 Ministudio

I have just bought the Porta 05 unit on e-bay. When it arrived both the record and play heads are stuck on. I have tried to press the play and record and stop buttons to free it with no success.

Does any one have a solution to this?

There is nothing in the manual and the previous owner says they never had this problem.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!
