Newbie questions-pls help!!!

Hi everyone, I have been visiting this forum for about 3 months now and have been reading alot of your very informative posts and have learned alot in the process. I thank everyone for that. I have been recording for about 2 years and primarily record into my Korg D1200 hardisk unit in 24bit mode. I have had Calkwalk Sonar3 Producer edition with Sonitus/Lexicon & Waves plug-ins for a few months now and have been tracking my rock project for about the same time. I have some great tracks using my Rode NT1A & Blue
Dragonfly mic patched through an Avalon M5 preamp and use a Pod for most of my guitar tracks along with micing my Taylor acoustic (By the way the wife doesn't really know where I got this stuff but she does make comments about the growing clutter in my music room). Needless to say I have aquired some great equipment & have managed to get some really nice sounding tracks however my fear is mixdown, this is where I need some advice. I can get some decent mixes with my Korg D1200 with hands-on the faders and even automate with the use of scenes but it's tedious. I'm sure I can get a better quality product exporting the 24bit files to Sonar and mixing there as I will be using this CD to promote our Band. I realize these questions may be a little vauge but if any of you pro's understand where i'm coming from (as you have probably been there) please help me get to the next level. I am using an HP-PC with 512MB ram 800Mhz processor and have optimized for recoding only, no other programs or internet access, I use an M-audio 2496 card w/breakout cable, it has spdif/midi in/out w/2 analouge in/outs. Most of my 9 songs have 7 to 10 tracks and I can only mix 6 at a time on the Korg in 24 bit mode without doing submixes. Here are some of my questions:

1. My Korg has midi in/out capabilities and can transmit fader/pan info, I would like to use it as a control surface for mixing in sonar. How can i do this? Do I have to set-up midi tracks along with my regular tracks to control them?

2. If question #1 is possible, how can I set-up Sonar to memorize my fader/pan movements.

3. If question #2 is possible, is it easy to then modify/edit some of those movements later on?

4.Once I have a good mixdown that i'm happy with how do I bounce all the tracks to a stereo track with all effects applied?

5. Once the bounce is complete, can I save it as an MP3 & a Wave file?

I will probably have more questions as I get more involved in the Forum so I would like to the the members of this forum in advance for your help & patience!!!

Go to file->export->audio.

Select a riff wave file from the dropdown, and name your mix.
Then you can repeat the process and choose mp3 instead of wave.

Use volume and pan envelopes!!

Yes, envelopes are extremely easy to edit.

IMO, I would not bother bouncing within Sonar, but simply export to a standalone file as the previous guy advised. (However, I don't thing Sonar 3 includes a MP3 converter. There are several free ones available, and someone has written a program that allows their use from within Sonar. Do a search of this forum and I believe you can find some info on it.)
