Check the Vocal booths and stuff here
http://www.clearsonic.com/isopac_s.html
They've got some pretty neat stuff like vocal and drum booths. Look around.

If you read the fine print, it states ..."none of our products are intended to be airproof or soundproof". Then what is the point? "soundproof IS airproof", hence the need for ventilation. Since MOST recording facilitys require extreme isolation between vocals and other instruments, these will only act as "gobos" or for one room studio vocal overdubs, NOT isolate. If you have high environmental noise, these will NOT keep it from the mic. In fact, these are primarily used in small live venue type settings where direct high SPL of drums overcomes
other instrument volumes. If you have ever been in a church where these are used, you can hear the drums even at low level, with no mics on. The mere fact that they have reflective surfaces via the plexi panels should tell you something about the sound WITHIN the booth too. How do you spell SUCK? fitZ ![]()

A while back I built a 'vocal booth' after reading some posts/articles here on the net. I made mine like a 7 foot cube out of Sch.40 PVC. I triple covered it, top as well, with the heaviest moving blankets I could find. It is by no means sound-proof but it does dampen some of the outside noise and it has added a 'new' sound to my vocals that I really like... I am a little leary of the plexi-glass walls though... I wanted something that would absorb, not reflect... Just my .02...

I don't like the pelxi-glass eather for studio work. I just came across the site while searching for a drumroom for a church.
