I am using Sonar 4. I want to be able to do the following:
Take a stereo mix of drum tracks, send them to a compressor effect (within the compter - not an outboard compressor), then bring the compressed signal into a new stereo track. So that I can now manipulate the uncompressed and compressed tracks individually. Can this be done in Sonar 4? If so, how? Thanks in advance. |

Insert a new stereo Bus into the drum track. Enable the track send and set it to "pre" fader.
Insert the plugin compressor into the FX bin of the new Bus. Now you can use the Bus to control the compressed signal and the Track to control the uncompressed signal. |
