Recording from the 2488

Will Sonar 3 import files(unmastered recordings) from the tascam 2488 and then be edited like midi?

yes and no.

assuming you have the requisite interface to get the audio into Sonar, then yes, you can edit it, but no not quite like MIDI.

you can copy, cut, paste, and delete sections of the audio. you can process the audio, including (if you have the Plugin) changing the pitch.
