Recording Fender Twin with spring reverb

WHAT DO YOU THINk OF RECORDING FENDER AMPS WITH THE SPRING REVERB? should we leave this till later at post and add reverb in the mixing?
I love the spring reverb in the amp but am not sure which approach to take?

Try it both ways and compare it but generally if you want the sound you like then record the sound you like and don't try fixing it in the mix.

get it right at the source. if the track sounds right with the amp's reverb, then record the guitar with the amp's reverb. if it doesn't, then don't.

cheers,
wade

I would say use the amp's spring reverb. Those old Fender reverbs sound great.

Try not to go overboard with the reverb, burt record it at the amp.n You can never quite get that same sound by adding verb in the mix. Its amazing how big, fulll and wide one mic on a fender twin with a nice spring reverb can sound.
