Tascam US-122 skipping problem

Hi,

I've recently bought a US-122 and have been having heaps of problems getting it up and running. I've installed the latest drivers from Tascam and installed the device correctly via USB. When I play any audio, however (itunes, Windows media player etc), through the US-122, the audio skips every few seconds.

I'm running XP on a PC and using Cubase SX-2.

Any suggestions are most welcome.

upgrade windows xp to at least service pack 1 (Win XP sp1). there is a known bug in XP related to USB.
