Help: Noise/static when i record digital audio using Sonar 4
Hi all,
I just got cakewalk sonar 4 producer edition, and I tried recording a sample track. When I played it back, the audio quality was really poor ie. there was a bunch of noise/static. I don't have a mic yet, so I'm running the pick up on my acoustic guitar to an M-audio Omni pre-amp to a Delta-66 soundcard. I checked my levels to make sure I'm not getting any clipping or anything like that, so I have no idea what the problem is. Oh yeah, and the software was obtained through "questionable means" in case that has any bearing on my question. Any ideas? Thanks! Brad |

Nevermind: Question Answered
So apparently this question was already asked pretty much. Solution: make sure the input card matches the output card (in my case, delta 1/2 to delta 1/2) for a given audio track, then I just plug my headphones into the Omni pre-amp. Voila.
