Question $10,000 and a garage

Here I go where several have gone before. I'm looking for suggestions not only for equipment but on priorities with studio/control room and/or equipment buying. I have 15,000 to spend from a home refi. I figure to spend $2,000 on a Taylor 12-series (maybe a used 6-800), $2,000 on Yamaha EX5000-20 with speakers and maybe a Fender Acoustasonic Amp. for $700. That said, I'm left with about $10,000 to spend on a keyboard/workstation, G5 Imac or G5 Power Mac (with Logic Pro LE software) or a StandAlone digital workstation and what is left on studio construction.
I am working out of a BR 532 with a JVC CD recorder and a Big Baby with an active pickup. I am looking to partician a 15' by 15' section of my garage into my studio/control room.

My question up for grabs is:
Can I get away (for now) with one wall separating the laundry area with a door leading into my studio and come back to build the other three walls and ceiling? Or is it best to build the studio completely first, hold off on the G-5 with it's 2.5 Ghz processor and get a mac mini or a VS 2000 and spend the reminder on construction?

Yes. If you have a crap room, you have crap sound, which gives you a crap mix.

Just do this:

Cloneboy Studio will become famous soon enough
What about mics, mixers, preamps, cabling, plugins etc?

Make sure to write down everything you NEED and want to buy to make sure that you are going to have a working system. Right now the idea seems pretty sketchy and ill-thought out.

If you are going to drop that much cash, you need a plan.

Please don't spend $2000 on a Taylor
Look into Santa Cruz, mucho better for $2K (might have to go used, which is fine though)
