problemo

Hi, just recorded my first sonar project, and when I play it back, it sounds great, I've got envelopes on a lot of the midi tracks gradually reducing and increasing various parameters which gives me the kind of swirly effects I'm going for. HOWEVER:

when i export it,it changes these.. it just does stupid things that it doesnt do when I play it back before mixing it down. like, distorting at the wrong time, instead of gradually building up to distortion, stuff like that, although all the actual midi notes stay in sync with the rest of the project.

also, when i try and convert just one track from midi to audio (as opposed to the whole project), i select it, put the markers round it, do everything like that but it always always tells me 'no audio selected'..all i want to do is change it from midi to audio! is that so much to ask for!?

have scoured the manual to no avail. am using sonar 4 producer edition. any help would be much appreciated!

Do you select the midi track and then go to EDIT/ Bounce to track, then you can choose if the output will be stereo, mono, split, etc. If you´re working with soft synths you have to select both tracks, midi and synth track, then go to EDIT/Bounce to track.

OK thanks, that helped! I find for whatever reason, I have to 'bounce to clip' first and then it lets me bounce to tracks.

However, when I do, its still different! When its a midi track, its got this LFO from dreamstation which nicely fades out and swirls gradually..but on the audio track it just violently goes up and down and sounds rubbish. Anyone ever experienced this? I've checked all the boxes on the bounce to track dialogue, in fact I've tried every combo to no avail...I'm at my wits end!
