i would like to do some vocal recording with these mics, will they do a half decent job or just cause grief?...can they be used live without "hiccups"?

condensors arent really the mic style of choice for live. especially with a full band. i guess it can be done though. i have the behringer b-1 and it does do a half decent job. i would more or less say i can get the job done. its not the best in the world but it'll do. oh yeah and please note that any behringer mic you pick will be countered on this site by something "better" and comparable in price whether the choices are Studio Projects or MXL. even audio technica, if I'm not mistaken, has a $99 condensor mic
