should i get this

in the future i plan on getting the AKG C3000 for mainly vocals and acoustic. is this a good idea or should i get a different mic.


ps. How does the M-audio TAMPA sound with it

I'd keep looking. I have one and while I still find uses for it from time to time, I sure as hell wouldn't want it to be my only condensor. Consider some other mics. The AT mics like the 4033 or 4040 would smoke the 3000 as an all-rounder.

Check out an ADK Hamburg which is close to the same price. You'll not find a lot of favorable comments on the C3000. You'll hear a lot of comments that say I used to have a C3000. It's not a very good vocal mic IMHO unless you are parcel to fingernails being dragged across a chaulk board. YMMV. Good luck with whatever you decide on.
