Compressor settings...
i have a furman compressor and am new to operating it, I don't know of any common settings (if any)...i know what the dials do, but can anybody tell me what their settings are at?

I'm no expert on the matter - but I'd imagine the settings would depend on what you're running through it and how you want it to sound. Settings for a vocal track would probably be different then for when laying down some bass guitar - or drums, etc.

There aren't any common settings. You need to learn how to use the compressor, there's no easier way unfortunately.

At least you know what the dials do, you're better off than many folks new to compression! At this point, since you know what the knobs "do" I'd just practice and hear what you're ears tell you.
