Speaking of Songwriting, Joe Cocker does Cover Songs of Classic Rock & Soul

I love to write songs and songwriting is my life. Any way, I just heard the remake of U2's "One," by Joe Cocker....I was so psyched about it, I love the song and the new arrangements. He also did a bunch of other cover songs, one from R.E.M. and other artists. If you guys were interested, it's in his new album "Heart & Soul" or you can check out his site at www.cocker.com enjoy and hit me back!

I think what he was trying to say is that Joe Cocker made his mark doing covers of someone else's songs. It's what he does, and to me, he does it the way it's supposed to be done. He makes the song his own. He is very good at it, and I wish I could do a song justice the way he does.

Hmmm...sorry Rokket, much as I appreciate your inspired spelling of gynaecology and admire your devotion to the much under appreciated cowbell, I don't think the world would be a poorer place if Joe Cocker had never sung a note. To be honest I thought his rendition of With A Little Help was only a few clicks above Michael Bolton.

But that's only an IMHO

Yeah, that one rubbed me wrong (being a HUGE Beatles fan), but he has done some other work that was really nice. Can't remember which song I was listening to, but it was on a jukebox in a bar in North Dakota. I didn't know it was him, so I went to look at the selection and was pleasantly surprised. Yeah, he's only a step above Micheal Bolton, but I feel he's got a better feel. Again, just IMHO too...

Ok,
gynecology is the American word,
gynaecology is the British varient, according to Merriam-Webster online... See that, I learned something today.

Thanks, Garry!!!!

I've got it! An international tour featureing Michael Bolton, Joe Cocker, and Lee Greenwood. The 'Tacky, Happy & Sappy Tour'.

The three tenors aren't doing anything, it's their chance.
