Recording for video ? - Home Recording

I have an Aark 24 card in my Windows 98 machine. I have not bought any recording software for it yet. I want to eventually be able to integrate my music with video. Is there a software program that can do this better than others? I maybe cutting the video on a Macintosh with Final Cut Pro if that makes a difference. Thanks for any input.
