drum machine preamp
Hi everybody,
I was wondering how you all are recording drum machines? Do you run the drum machines through a preamp? Which preamps have you liked to use when using drum machines? Also keyboards. I have read that you all like the rnp for keyboards. What about for drum machines? I would want something that can warm the sound up, but not to the point that it will get muddy, or distorted. I have read that the rnp is very transparent, and maybe won't be very apparent on drum machine tracks. I have considered the toft atc2, and the lavengin. Sytek, seems nice, but very transparent too? what do you all think would be the best way to go? dual channel pres thanks, evt
