Is there any application that can remove noise from an old vinyl, denoise it? I have tried a few apps with no success, although removing tape hiss can be done pretty well. But vinyl...

Zepa . . . I do alot of vinyl transfers, I use a software product called "DC 6 ", it made by Diamond Cut, and for me, it works wonders on some of the Old , Obscure Lp's I have in My Collection.
The De-Clicking and The Continuous Noise Filters have many Preset filters to use, plus, You can manually set the filters to do what You want, HOWEVER , as with ANY filtering of recorded sound, if You get to Aggressive with the Filter, You will notice a denegration of the Original Sound, So, One has to be aware of this.
Here's a link to the software page, I think they have a free Demo to try out
http://www.diamondcut.com/.
So far I have transfered around 200 old lp's I have, I hope this Helps.

I'm with Stephen... Diamond Cut is by far the best of the bunch when you consider features and price. Along with that, their tech support is second to none. I've been using their software for a few years now, and have no complaints whatsoever.
