Thumbs up, or down?

Would love some feedback on first song I've written and recorded in the home "studio" I've spent the last year putting together.

Sounds alright, man. Very 80's power-ballad. The guitar tone is a little too shimmery and harsh for my taste. Other than that, nice playing and singing.

I agree. This genre really needs to make a comeback - without the hair.

I kept expecting drums to kick in, but it sounded good without them. And the guitars are a bit too bright in the mix. I liked what I heard inspite of that.

Thanks for the review, guys. I knew it sounded a bit "dated", but decided while writing it that there was no way to "undate" it, so it just kept going in that direction. It bothered me a good bit at first, but after the rise of Velvet Revolver, and the success of Jet, and the Darkness, it almost seems like what's old is new. Sometimes you can't really make a song go in the direction you want it to, it just kind of takes a natural course. I figured a good song is a good song, so I continued on with it.
