self-mastererererer definitely need a hint on this
i am in the process of mastering a live album for a DJ i know. the mix sounds awesome, except the guy doing the post-mixing made some bad cuts in my, and the DJ's opinion. (since when does a mixer lay out the album anyways) We can't find the original streaming .wav file, but i am trying to combine them into a stream and just put markers where i want to cut the file so i can burn flawlessly onto CD. When i tried to lay some of the tracks connected to the next, i get a click or two. they don't do it individually on solo, but when combined they do. any thoughts or helpful suggestions. anything would be greatly appreciated.

Or you could crossfade them ever so slightly. What is happening is you didn't edit the wav at a 0 crossing. So you have to perform a fade of some sort or else get a pop.

i didn't edit it the first time, but what u mean by zero crossing is that i didn't his the wave when the sound wave was at the middle line, henceforth causing distortion. is that right.

Yea! you have to make the edits at the point that the wave crosses the center line. Most editing programs have something in preferences like 'cut at zero crossing' . If you check that, it will automaticly do that (if you aren't zoomed in too far)
