Coulored Dynamic Mic's...Do they exist?
Is there such a thing as a coloured/eciting dynamic mic?
Something you could get for vocals super cheap on ebay? Instead of bying one of those hyped mxl mics (never heard them), are there any dynamic/ribbon bargains out there? And I don't like the sound of an sm57, or the sound of the vocals on "Tapestry". Or actually maybe i do, but I don't want that sound...Don't like a midrange sound... |

You might give the Beyer M-88 a try. You'd probably like that one. Not as midrangy or peaky as a 57 ... kinda' scooped, almost, like a condenser. You might also give the Sennheiser MD-441 a spin. Nice mic.
Some of the Beyer ribbon mics can be really nice, but I don't know I'd call 'em "exciting." Might be stretching it, but definitely some nice ones worth having. |

cheap dynamic
Check out a Audio Technica MB3000. You can usually find them cheap. Definite vocal peak. Not a rugged mic, but for some voices it works quite well.
