midi to wav.

Can it be done without the wav. sounding like a midi file, (Midi files sound terrible)

The .wav file will at best sound exactly like the synth that was playing the MIDI file. Check out the SCUG website/archives for examples of MIDI performances on the Roland Sound Canvas that actually sound like real people playing instruments.
There are 2 obstacles to getting the results you want. One is finding a synth with the sound(s)you like and the second is capturing a real performance. This will require a velocity-sensitive MIDI instrument and someone that can play it. Since I can't play keyboards, my only recourse is reconstruction of a MIDI file event by event.
