keep on using your ears, they're the best tool you have as far as "getting it right".

if your ears aren't trustworthy, use someone else's ears.

I have a home studio that I produce demo's out of. I'm recording in a blanket damperred shower but I'm getting clean full vocals. When I'm mixing down I don't how to determine the correct volume of the vocals against the main mix, so I'm doing it by ear. Is there a righter/better way to do this at home?
