Can anyone give me some tips on this procedure? I have a tascam 464; if I get a porta 02, can i run the tracks into the 464's extra channels and mix them all seperately?

Does anyone knoe if the unit has a sync function?

You can join them in a cascade style. Porta 2 to 464 to mixdown deck . But they will not be synched. There will be speed differences between the two machines. Maybe workable differences, maybe not.

No built in tape to tape sync functions with those machines.
