.16 file?? need help with a AW16G

So my band went to this rehersal space where they rented us a AW16G and we thought it would be easy to use . . .

Anyway, after we recorded the tracks, I just couldnt figure out hot to record to stereo track to make an audio CD and since the place was closing, all I could make was a "backup", so now I have an .16g file on a CDR and don't know what to do with it..

Is there any program that can open it so I can edit the track on my PC ? (ie, protools) or do I have to go back and load the backup in the AW16G and find the way to mix to stereo??

Please help!!!

try a demo version of multitrack software
you will not have full use of effects and such but be able to build it in. And possibly creat a stereo file.

Yo T-Punk:

If you exported in wave files, you will be able to work with it.

Regarding the AG16, it has to be quite similar to my 2816. So, NEXT time you use one and want to mix a stereo track peek in the manual and try this:

Find the ST button which means when you engage it, that you are going to record the stereo track.

Set your faders while you PLAY the tracks; set your reverb; set your EQ and/or compression. These are all built into the AG16.

When you like what you hear while playing, rewind, push play-record buttons and you will be recording the stereo track.

When you're done, follow the manual to play back the stereo track and see if you like it.

If you don't like the stereo track, you can erase it and do it again after you make adjustments.

When you are happy with the stereo track, make sure you SAVE it. This will put your stereo track into the menu files. From there, it's only a matter of calling up the CD burning program, which is easy to follow in the manual, and then burn your one or MORE stereo tracks. Since you rented the SIAB, I'm assuming you are not doing too many stereo tracks?

Hope this helps you out.
