how do I approach my own feelings of futility?

Sorry...I just couldn't resist the developing theme, but feel free to expound.

12Kevin is on a distinguished road
"Against an absolute mountain...

...we flaunt our pebble deeds
And I can't figure out what this planet needs"
Lyric by Russ Daughtry from his song, "Ten-Cent Cigar"

That sort of grand futility? Or just the Chekhovian kind: "Any idiot can face a crisis; it is this day-to-day living that wears you out."

Or is it the feeling in the middle of building what seemed like a great idea, that it has suddenly become crap?

Do you drink a great deal?
