Laptop recording: Can I use my Audiophile?
Total newb here...I am recording fingerstyle guitar with two Neumanns into a two channel pre into my PC with an M-Audiophile soundcard. I also have a laptop that I would like to use for computer fan noise and portability reasons. My question: Is there some way to use my audiophile soundcard with my laptop, like some sort of PCI box that can be external to the laptop?

I always wondered if they made such a thing. Man that isn't cheap. I wonder if anyone makes a cheaper thing that does the same.

I got a Echo Indigo a few months ago. Very pleased with the results. Might want to check one out.
