parallel loop

Hi all,

I'm trying to setup my rack to use a parallel loop but I'm not sure on what I need to do. Here's my current setup

MP-1 send to BBE in
BBE out to Xpression in
Xpression out to MP-1 receive

I have a TOA D-4 mixer that I want to use as a parallel loop for my Xpression. Where do I plug my Xpression into the mixer? Is it the aux send /receive or something like that?

Do I then come back out from the mixer back to the MP-1 receive?

Confused here

wb

I'm not entirely sure what all your gear is. What is an MP-1, and an Xpression?

That said, what it looks like you are doing is setting up a feedback loop, is that what you want to do?

MP-1 is a preamp by ADA
Xpression is an effects module from Rocktron.

I'm looking to play with my tone a little bit as I've heard that a parallel loop can make volume, dynamics and tone that much better

What instrument are you playing, guitar?

So what you want to do is have one channel of unprocessed guitar and one channel of guitar going through the fx chain, and then combine the two channels in the mixer?
