I’ve been seen with beauty queens like angels from above
But what was seen was not my dream my first my only love
Now I’ve had girls with pretty curls and I’ve had girls with none
But all I’ve had while I’ve been bad is a love affair with one.

It’s not my place to show my face, in certain parts of town
I’ve been around I’ve covered ground, for that I am renowned
If I could pick or finger click a place where I should be
It’s in a place with my true love the one that still loves me

Well I’ve sung songs with trophy blondes and courted intellect
But all I’ve done is turn and run from the one love I respect
I must admit these girls were fit and some say quite a catch
I loved the chase of each new face when opposites attract.

Now it must be the time to see, the error of my ways
I’ve never known a love so true since in those early days
I have this chance to re-enhance the only love of mine
It’s plain to see we’re meant to be, together for all time

We’ll find a place and pack a case, and start our lives afresh
And not look back on times gone by, remembering the mess
We’ll settle down in some new town and finish this affair
And put together back in place, the perfect matching pair
