What are excellent beginner plug-ins, I'm using an m-audio keystation 61es controller. Thanks . . .

Whatever host you are using on whatever platform, you are quite likely to find what you seek here.

Freeware synths of very good quality (like Triangle II and Synth One) can be found here as well as a wealth of info about shareware and commercial plugins. It's kinda like a plugin supermarket with a big old 'wow' factor.

Triangle 2 and Crystal I think are 2 of the best freeware, but there are tons of free ones, and many are worth having.

Orchestral Rocks doesn't it ?!?!? 16 channels, multiple outputs, etc. I use it quite often, and get as good of results as any sampled based setup. Good tweakability too. A breeze to fine tune tune each instrument to your specific needs. Edirol Super Quartet is worth checking out to. It has Pianos, Guitars, Basses, and Drums.
