Yamaha Motif

hello to all reader
i just got my yamaha motif rack and my question is.

i'm using cake walk pro as my sequencer and midi'ed through my audiophile 2496 card. everything is fine. i hear all the tracks through the motif .
i have sequenced 8 tracks, plus ch10 for drums in cake walk
i want to record those 9 sounds as individual tracks into my fostex vf 160ex hard disk recorder or to any other recorder that i could separate the tracks so i could add my vocals and then do my final balance and burn.

i did balance all the channels in cakewalk and everyting sounds good. just need to know if it possible to get them out individually.

i was wondering how does one acheive in setting it up like this or it cannot be done. all the sounds have to come out at the same time though the 2 output channels (Left/Right) on the motif.

it would be nice it i could get the bass, piano, guitar, strings, sax, drums etc onto separate tracks onto my hard disk or even on the ccomputer.
thanks

In addition to the stereo L/R jacks, there are 4 individual outputs on the rear panel. I believe that you can configure these so that you can output 6 separate parts of a multi to them. If you need more than 6 tracks then you'll have to do it in multiple passes.

thanks for reply. yes the motif has 4 indiv outs. i was trying to send the sounds to the individual outs but was unsussessful. but i'll play around more with that ...

Oh ya. i guess if i needed more individuals outs, i could get another motif and couple them up and that way i would have 12 outs now .. right .. becasue i do want to keep all the instruments soudns form the motif all separate and rec them onto the hard disk.
