anyone familiar with this EQ ? RANE MOJO MQ302 EQUALIZER

i met a guy who's selling a bunch of studio and live equipment,
i might buy a bunch of equipment from him,
there's this one EQ that i don't know:

RANE MOJO SERIES MQ302 EQUALIZER

i was looking around for a graphic equalizer to use for Live gigs,
might this one be something decent, suitable,
i don't know the brand "Rane", is it reliable stuff ?

thanks alot,
earworm

Rane generally makes good gear, some is great, and they have some unique products. Seems to last forever.
This eq uses one set of sliders to run both channels. That is fine, but kind of limits it if say you get a better FOH eq and want to move the Rane to monitors. No way to get two mixes out of it.
The single space with small sliders is also harder to adjust. Long sliders make it easier to cut only what you need. You might be able to find a used dbx 1231 or 2231 for about the same $$. But sometimes you gotta go for a good deal and gigs won't wait for you to find the exact right thing!
Avoid dbx 2 series and ART.
Some old Yamaha eqs are good, and believe it or not, some of the behringer digital stuff kind of rocks. The little screen dealies suck on those, though, realy hard to see.

The Rane will sound good, and you can always sell it later.
