M-audio Mixim 10?

okay I saw this one samash.com and its like $30 I was wondering is this mixer worth anything I ask because I know that m-audio is a pretty good company so Im like I dont think they would make anything to bad but this price is crazy. Also I can find it anywhere else.

Buy it... costs less then a carton of cigarettes... and it'll last a lot longer. You'll always find some use for it, even after you upgrade...

Reduced from $249.99 down to $29.99?!?!?! I wonder what's wrong with it?

I guess I'll find out soon enough, 'cause I just ordered one! Thanks for the tip!

I have one. It was my first mixer. Used it on an early recording project. It works. The pres are quiet but nothing special, and the mixer doesn't have a lot of headroom. Right now I'm using it as a headphone amp. My Soundcraft Spirit F8 mixer is much, much better. At the current price, however, the Mixim 10 could be worth getting, but only if you need something like that.

Don - I mainly snagged it because of the price, and you never know when something like this might come in handy. Heh, if I really hate it I can give it to my bass player as a late Christmas present!

I just got an email from Sam Ash saying this item had been on back order and they were no longer carrying it. I called them up to complain and tell them to get it off their website. Idiots!

Oh well. You can console yourself with the fact that you saved a few bucks you can put towards something better.

I got my Spirit mixer for something like $170 on eBay. Not much more than I spent for the Mixim 10, but so much better value.
