Practising with my tube head
I've finally decided to pick up a Marshall TSL60, gonna get it in a week or so. I don't plan on buying a cab just yet, since every gig I play there's a cab handy. Thing is, I want to use the amp every now and then in my room to practice with the footswitch and that. My dad, an electrician, says there won't be a problem hooking the speaker in my bass amp up to the head and practising that way. The same with my Marshal G80RCD: he says there won't be a problem if I connect the speaker up to the head. I don't doubt my dad but I want to make sure no harm will come of my stuff since I've paid a lot for all my gear so far (considering I am a student).
Also, how would I go about recording direct with the TSL into my Boss BR-532? |

make sure all the ohm stuff matches up. I don't know about it well enough to say how to do it, but my understanding is you can fry the amp if there isn't enough resistence on the speaker.

Just match the impedance of the speaker to the head and you will be fine. It won't sound the same as a 4x12, but I'm sure you knew that.
