how do i filter out the extremely high frequency that i don't want?
i'm using cool edit BTW, i've asked this question before, but because i didn't know the exact term, no one understand and gave me an accurate answer, now that i have the terms, i'm gonna ask again, thanks.

You can also go to Effects/Filters/Scientific Filter and run a lowpass on the tracks set at whatever point you want.

Also also, you could go the multiband compression route...
Effects->amplitude->Dynamics Processing Go to band limiting, enter in the frequency range you're concerned with, and then compress it until it sounds like you want it to |

Finding your freq...
A note: I find I can zero in on a frequency's range by going to the Parametric EQ (Effects>Filters), turning on only ONE slider, applying a REAL narrow 'Q' to it, and move the slider along the freq range until I find the offender. (Put the wave into the edit window first! Sorry...!)
Write down the freq of the offender, and go back and roll the booger off. Try the most straightforward, simplest thing you can think of first. EQ is a good place to start. But, me being the newest (probably) dude here, I'm quite certain that all the previous advice is good advice. This is just my less than 2-cents. Rog. |
