in the market for something sweet.

I'm next month I have a session with a female vocalist with a beautiful lower voice, similar to Sarah McLachlan but a little smokier. What mic and and preamp would you guys use for a singer like this?

I have a ksm44 and an RNP. I was planning on using that, but I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas for me.

I could spend 700-1000 dollars to get me ready for the project.

What you got would prob work fine..Maybe a Great River MP1NV which pairs up nicely with the KSM44 for me..good luck
