- Direct drive capstan
- better heads and higher quality electronics on the channel cards - Synchronizer port on rear for multi-machine lock up where the 48 can be a slave or master - Real time counter with STC as well as RTZ - Capstan drives backing side of tape for less drop outs. - Spooling mode for library winding of tapes - Balanced XLR connections as well as RCA unbalanced connections. - Smarter logic control of transport for smoother, gentler tape handling. - Overall heavier construction quality; more steel, less plastic - 22 pounds heavier! - Peak LED overload indicators on the VU meters. I think that's about it. Cheers! ![]() |
