Arrow Graphic Designer with degree for hire.

I noticed someone posting about looking for a graphic designer to design their CD cover. I figured I might as well just start a new thread in case anyone else is looking. I'm sure you guys who have had professional graphics done for you know how much money these design shops charge. It can be between $50-$100 per hour on average. I have a full time job doing design at a hospital so I don't need to charge outrageous prices from people, but I could use some extra cash to buy more recording equipment.

I have an Associates in Science for Graphic Design and Web Design. I graduated with honors, and have been working in design for the past three years. Most of the work I do is professional websites for professional organizations like http://www.ctnursingresearchalliance.org/ , www.designsbyjen.com, www.rags-n-tags.com , www.peddlergraphics.com etc., but I am an artist and a musician, so I won't be making bland designs for you guys, unless of course thats what you want. Here is something I did for fun. http://members.cox.net/dsmall3/John-Lennon-Dan.jpg

Something for school.

Anyways I would charge an upfront amount based on what we agree on. For instance, if you have high resoultion pictures all ready to send to me via email, that would reduce the cost, since I wouldn't have to scanning. But I do have access to a large format scanner and I have an 8x11 scanner at home for those of you who just want to send me physical photos etc..

I think for a 4 page design front and back (meaning a two page fold with 4 actual panels total) including the back cover and the CD label. I would typically charge about $50-$75 total. If its a real easy job, I will charge less. If its very complicated and you want me to draw up some original artwork etc.. I might charge a little more. You can contact me at

if you are interested. My name is Daniel. I am an honest guy, I have a wife and kid, and pay my bills on time, so you won't have to worry about me being a flake.
