PDF user manual for the Roland RS-5 synth? I just aquired my father-in-law's unit (again) and, just like before, there is no manual. I could not find anything at RolandUS, on a user manual, and would appreciate it if someone (in possession of such) wouldn't mind sharing it.

you might try this group. I was able to download a manual for a rs-50..not sure how that works with what you have....

I did find the RS-5 TurboStart PDF at Rolands site. Link is below. Roland manuals are tough to find, although it seems they are making somewhat of an effort to put them on line now. Trying to play catch up to Yamaha's expansive online library....
