Velocity Short-cuts
i have PA9, but no keyboard, and even if i bought one, i can't play it. i am now working on a complex piano-based song, and i wondered if there was any easy way to set velocities without just randomly doing so, which is very not musical. i'm dealing with so much data, doing it by hand would take forever. any suggestions?

If you want to change the velocities for each note event to make it sound like a person (that plays kybds) played the piece then you have to do it by hand. And *random* would not be a good choice unless you are doing some sort of drstawl composition.
![]() Don't be scared off. It won't take forever. Decide where you want some more velocity than whatever default value you are using and where you want less and then assign the values in the event list. You need not change every last note. |
