Hi Everyone nice to find this forum , Im on the market for a new recorder since I know how to work the Boss BR8 I want to know from any of the people with the CD Burner if you have to bounce down to 2 tracks to burn a CD ? Can anyone suggest a new recorder for me ? Boss, Roland ?

Yes you do have to bounce down to two tracks on the 1180 and the 1600 to burn a CD. I still don't understand why you can't make quick mixes as well, but I just bounce down to the stereo track burn my CD then I don't save the changes and I have my 8 tracks back next time I open that song.
