installed a emu0404 soundcard.
hooked up a cassette player with red white rca mini\ plugs to mini plug to 1/4 rca adapter which plugs into card 1/4 rca L-R inputs. Using audio edit deluxe to record , getting nothing. tried analog plugs and digital plugs on card, nothing. All i want to do is record some cassettes and cd to compile on one cd. do I need a Amplifier of some sort. I am so ignorant and new to this all help and suggestions appreciated. thanks |

Does the 0404 use Patchmix? If so, you need to set up routing (I have the 1820m).

If your recording program doesn't use ASIO (the E-mu driver is optimised for ASIO), I believe you have to setup some Wave inputs in the patchmix for the line-in. You'll have to look in the that E-mu forum for the how-to.
Why not use the cards supplied recording software instead?
