The Thing I Need?

I was wondering (because I am new to MIDI, like a few hours old) if this sort of setup that would fit in my rack effect case for guitar would work with recording of MIDI effects and such if, per se I wanted to record a B3 sound, but didn't want to learn piano or any sort of licks that I just wanted to mirror on the guitar. What do you suggest if there is something better?

Y'know, I've read your post a half-dozen times and still don't know what the hell you are asking about.

You have left out the subject of a few sentences and there are some stray dependent clauses floating around as well.
