What do I need between my guitar /mic and my PC?

I'm looking for an interface for my acoustic guitar w/internal pickups and my xlr mics. Any suggestions? Anything else I might need? I usually record guitar and voice and then lay a harmony voice track, currently on cakewalk software. Right now I'm running both through my performance amp then the the PC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am really starting from scratch. The only thing that I have is the software, computer, guitars and mics. The guitars I'd be using have 1/4 inch outputs, and the mics are XLR. The recording will be very simple, mostly to assist in the writing process.

looks like you need a little mixer like a yamaha mg.
mic>>>mixer>>sound card line input.
what sound card are you using ?
you could also try coming out the quarter inch output of an acoustic guitar (if it has the output jack) into a di box into the mixer .
