Ever mixed on SRM 450s?

I know this is highly impractical, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever mixed on Mackie SRM 450s. I currently don't own near field monitors, but have some nice SR gear. The 450s are incredibly clean, but I don't know if it's reasonable to try and mix through them, and whether or not the signal would be too colored.

Has anybody produced good mixes with 450s, or speakers like them?

Thanks!

Keith

I own a pair but damn cant say I ever thought about mixing with them.. Hope your room is the size of a hall. lol The srm's definately rock. I only use them for the dj and karaoke business. Try it see how your mixes translate, there are no rules. I guess you would have to get used to them like any other monitor.

Having worked with MANY srm 450's, I would never attempt an actual studio mixdown on them. The low end is muffled and extremely boosted, the mids are mucky, and the highs fairly harsh, and at the same time toned down.
