Sekth Khnemu is on a distinguished road
MIDI and Fruity Loops.

I have some drums from Guitar Pro 4 that I want to change the sounds to real drums. I've downloaded some drum samples other than the ones that are standard with Fruity Loops, so I'm good with that part. The problem is importing the MIDI and actually changing the drum sounds. I can get the MIDI imported fine, but when it plays, there's some sort of delay where it'll play the note, then about a half-second later, it'll play it again except differently. I hope I explained that good enough.

So if anyone knows how to change the sound of the drums, or how to get that annoying delay to go away, any help will be appreciated.

(Nice board, btw)

Open the midi file in FL, then be sure you've got the step sequencer displayed. Get to the step sequencer by clicking the second icon from the left in the upper right hand corner - the one labeled SS.

Then click on the first drum for which you want to use a different sample. A box labeled 'channel settings - (current sample)' will pop up. In that box there is a small folder icon. Click on that and it will let you load any .wav your heart desires.

As far as the delay you're getting, that's probably a computer problem. If you are trying to use the stock soundcard that came with your computer, that may well be the culprit...

And thanks (on behalf of all of us here) for the compliment, and welcome to the board.
