Help appreciated with Multi purpose room (pics)

First off, thanks in anticipation of help here, I have read through a lot of threads before composing this so appologise for the repetition but the only thing clear in my mind so far is that I definately need a lava lamp in my studio other than that much confused over live and dead space / sonic tuning

My catch 22 is I only have one room to track, monitor, mix, rehearse, work, store my stuff and hide out from my girlfriend,

My music is mainly acoustic guitar / vox which seem to have opposite requirements i.e. live room for guitar and dead for vox, I am also concerned over my monitors which I have rolled off the bass but pretty sure I need to put some wedgies (yes?) behind them.

I know I need two rooms, floating floor, vox booth, diffusers and confusers but I gotta work with what I got and would really appreciate some pro tips on how to make the best of things

Here is some advice I can give you. First of all when you are tracking take down all of those guitars off of the walls when you are tracking or mixing. Their strings will vibrate sympathetically to their natural frequencies.

Next reorganize the room so that the desk is centered under the window. You want to have your mixing position centered on the long axis of the room.

Then I would add some bass traps in the corners behind and possible on the ceiling corners.

Also why not put the 002 on the desk centered between the monitors?

Thanks - I do when mixing, It's just easy to wheel around when tracking giutar to punch in and fiddle with the monitor mix

I have also considered apoor mans vocal booth using the auralex type panels on stands to help isolate the vox - Any opinions or comments really welcome

what you will need is proper bass trapping. That is a fairly small room, but bass frequences tend to cumulate in the corners. A lot of people like an insulation product called owens corning 703 rigid fiberglass. Other companys make products with similar specs, like Roxul, who makes rockwool.
