Sound Editing
Hey all, Im a newbie at Cakewalk Sonar, and im just wondering once i record a clip, how can i edit it? and change the lengths, ect?

hmmm the question is a bit too general. what do you mean by edit? do you want to cut and copy it? do you want to add effects? change the volume or panning? stretech/speed change? I would suggest running throught the tutorials that come with sonar, they will get you up and running.

When i record a sample, im just wondering how do i cut parts out of it, ect.

You can use split tools (scissor icon) on track view to split clip. Once it's splited, you can delete the unwanted portion of the clip.

shut the grid off and hold the ALT button down and highlight the section you dont want. once its highlighted you can delete it
But if you need a bit of the section that you deleted then you can stretch the other sides of the clips to the missing part |
