PhatBoy v1 on Fl Studio 4.5.2

Hi!

I have a problem using the Keyfax FatBoy Midi-controller in Fl studio: I get no MIDI input signal. When I plug my controller-keyboard in my midiport insteat, then it works.

can you help me???

(I`m using a terratec 512i Soundcart on Win XP)

Your PhatBoy is not a midi controller in the sense that it sends out notes - it sends out CC (continuous controller) information only.

Unless you have something assigned to be controlled in FL it will SEEM like it's not working when in fact it is...

i know, that it`s not a kind of controller-keyboard. But there is no (!) midi input (the LED doesn`t light up) and no recordet data in the "edit events"-window as if i controll fruity with the mouse

If you are using an Oxygen 8 (as I do) then you can't try this, and I will come up with something else to suggest.

But here we go --- if you have a midi in on your controller keyboard, try plugging the PhatBoy in there. This may well solve your problem as it will blend the controller data from the PB with what already works, the note data from your keyboard.
