Vaseline

Has anyone ever heard of or tried covering the inside of the drumheads with Vaseline.
A friend of mine will do that to his toms to get rid of the ring.
I use Evans Hydraulic heads and get good results.

In 40 years of drumming I've never heard of it and would never want to try it.

$5.00 worth of Moongel works for me.
